On March 4, 2016, I along with my friends set out for Muktinath on motorbikes. This was my second visit to Muktinath Temple. At around 1 PM, we set out for Pokhara. It was already dark and cold when we reached Pokhara at around 8 PM. We all rested our hungry stomach with thakali khana that night.
On Day 2, we woke up early and got ready for the trip. Our target destination was to reach Kagbeni by the end of the day. The road was good till Beni, the gateway to Mustang: after that the off-road started. Minor casualties like bike slipping occurred during the trip as the road was not good enough than my previous visit. The road was same muddy, full of dust, slippery, dangerous and at times adventurous. The more you go, the more the mountains come closer. The thirst of getting closer to the mountains desperate us to move faster. We reached Kagbeni on time according to our plan.
On Day 3, we joggle around Kagbeni area in the morning and left for Muktinath Temple. The view was clear and the sun was shining. After the praying session was over, we ate lunch at Kagbeni and left for Jomsom. We visited Dhumba lake few kilometers to the east of Jomsom. After that we left for Tatopani. Good thing about Tatopani is the hot spring, where you can enjoy Onsen (hot spring bath) with chilled beer that lets you forget all the pains and trouble that you faced during the motorbike ride.
On Day 4, our target was to reach Pokhara. On the way, we visited Kushma's highest suspension bridge. We reached Pokhara on time with few more hours to roam around Pokhara's must visit destinations: Talbarahi boating, Devis Fall, Gupteshwor cave and obviously Pokhara's night life and live concert.
On Day 5, we plan to visit Begnas lake on the way back home. We did boating for around an hour. The lake was silent and peaceful as compared to Fewa lake. I got back with full of memories to cherish.
